Do citizens of Tunisia are required a visa to visit Vietnam?
We would like to inform that Tunisian need visa to Visa Vietnam for any purposes from visiting friends and families to going on a business trip or taking leisure vacation.

Some of the exemptions as per this visa policy are as follows:
1) First exemption rule is for the citizens holding a Tunisian official or diplomatic passport. These citizens are entitled to get a visa exemption for a maximum duration of 60 to 90 days. If the citizen needs to reside in Vietnam for more than this exempted duration, then a valid visa will be required.
2) The next exemption rule talks about the Tunisian citizens who are spouses or children of Vietnamese citizens. These citizens can avail for a visa exemption that allows having a visa free stay for up to 5 years. You will have to submit all the relevant documents to avail this benefit.
3) Vietnam visa policy has also allowed the foreign-based Vietnamese citizens to avail a visa exemption for a maximum duration of up to 5 years. The citizen will need to submit all the documents to the authorities to get an exemption approval.
4) The children who share their passports with either of their parent and are under 14 years of age are exempted from obtaining a visa. If the child has a separate passport, then as per the policy, a separate visa will be required.
5) To promote tourism, the Vietnam visa policy has granted a visa exemption of up to 30 days for the travelers reaching the Phu Quoc islands. For a stay of more than 30 days and for moving out of the island to other parts of the country, a valid visa will be required.
A Tunisian citizen has two ways of getting a visa for Vietnam. The first channel goes through the Vietnam embassy while the second goes through online agents like us for a VOA (visa on arrival).
How to get Vietnam visa in Tunisia?
There are 2 ways for you to get a Vietnam visa:
1. Apply for your Vietnam visa in a Vietnam Embassy / Consulate:
Since there is no Vietnam representative office in Tunisia at the present, you can check other countries to find the nearest Vietnam Embassy / Consulate to contact.
In case it is so inconvenient for you to come in person to a Vietnam embassy, applying for a Vietnam visa by post is recommended. However, please contact the embassy in advance to check whether you can obtain a Vietnam visa by post or not.
2. Apply online (1) to obtain an approval letter (2) to pick up your Vietnam visa at Vietnam international airports (in case you travel by air to Vietnam) or to collect your Vietnam visa at any Vietnam Embassy / Consulate nominated by you.
a) Regarding apply online to obtain a visa approval letter to pick up visa at a Vietnam international airport, there are 3 options based on the purpose of your visit:
• Vietnam visa for business purpose with validity for 1 month, 3 months or 6 months.
• Vietnam visa for tourist purpose with validity for 1 month only.
• Vietnam visa for transit purpose with validity less than 5 days then visa holders must depart to a third country after 5 days in Vietnam at maximum. You will be granted a transit visa on the condition that you travel by tour and the group must have clear schedule and indemnify of a travel agency that organizes the tour.

• Vietnam visa for tourist purpose with validity for 1 month only.
